A former wine trader, Luigi Salvo transformed his activity on Dante Square (once the centre of the commercial exchanges of Oneglia) in a small tavern. Thanks to the always growing variety of the dishes and the deliciousness of the cuisine, the restaurant first became the meeting point of the hunters, friends of the owner; during the years, the restaurant has achieved international prestige, featuring famous Guests as Prince Ranieri of Monaco, Dalì, Walter Chiari, Nino Manfredi, Enzo Biagi and many others. A precursor of the Mediterranean diet, since 1905 on the restaurant has proposed and enhanced dishes of both fish and meat in the name of the Ligurian taste and tradition, with a global proposal which has always renewed itself without losing the deep bonds with its origins and territory.
